Balushahi Servings - 3 - 4 INGREDIENTS All purpose flour - 300 grams Salt - 1/4 teaspoon Baking powder - 1 teaspoon Ghee - 100 milliliters Water - 70 milliliters Madhur sugar - 350 grams Water - 250 milliliters Saffron - 1/4 teaspoon Cardamom - 2 pods Oil - for frying Pistachios - for garnishing PREPARATION 1. In a mixing bowl, add 300 grams all purpose flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 100 milliliters ghee and mix it well. 2. Add 70 milliliters water and knead it into a smooth soft dough. 3. Rest the dough for 15 - 20 minutes. 4. Take a skillet, add 350 grams madhur sugar, 250 milliliters water and stir continuously until the sugar is fully dissolved. 5. Bring it to a boil. 6. Add 1/4 teaspoon saffron, 2 pods cardamom and mix it well. 7. Bring it to a boil. 8. Remove it from heat and keep aside. 9. Take some dough in your hands and roll it into a ball. 10. Make a hole inside it. 11. Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet and deep fry these until golden brown and crispy. 12. Transfer this into the prepared sugar syrup. 13. Soak for 7 - 10 minutes. 14. Garnish with pistachios. 15.
