#semiya #tasty #foodie Chole Semiya Servings - 2 - 3 INGREDIENTS Chickpeas - 150 grams Water - 1.5 litres, divided Salt - 1 teaspoon Ghee - 1 teaspoon Vermicelli - 150 grams Ghee - 15 milliliters Cumin - 1 teaspoon Onions - 50 grams Carrots - 50 grams Bell pepper - 50 grams Turmeric - 1/8 teaspoon Salt - 1 teaspoon Red chili - 1 teaspoon Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon Chana masala - 1 teaspoon Water - 300 milliiters Dry mango powder - 1 teaspoon PREPARATION 1. In a bowl, add 150 grams chickpeas, 500 milliliters water and soak for overnight. 2. Take a pressure cooker, add the soaked chickpeas, 1 litre water, 1 teaspoon salt and mix it well. 3. Cover it with lid and cook until you hear 4 - 5 whistles. 4. Open the lid and remove it from heat. 5. Heat 1 teaspoon ghee in a pan, add 150 grams vermicelli and roast for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat or until it turns golden brown in color. 6. Remove it from heat and keep aside. 7. Heat 15 milliliters ghee in a skillet, add 1 teaspoon cumin and stir well. 8. Then, add 50 grams onions and fry till translucent or until it turns golden brown in color. 9. Now, add 50 grams carrots, 50 grams bell pepper and mix it well. 10. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat. 11. Add 1/8 teaspoon turmeric and stir well. 12. Add 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon red chili, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, 1 teaspoon cumin powder, 1 teaspoon chana masala and mix it well. 13. Cook for 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat. 14. Then, add 300 milliliters water and mix it well. 15. Bring it to a boil. 16. Now, add the roasted vermicelli and mix it well. 17. Cover it with lid and cook for about 7 - 8 minutes on medium heat. 18. Open the lid and give it a nice stir. 19. Now, add the boiled chickpeas and mix it well. 20. Add 1 teaspoon dry mango powder and mix it well. 21. Add 2 teaspoons coriander and mix it again. 22. Cook for another 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat. 23. Remove it from heat. 24. Serve hot.
